The Events of 2015
So as another year draws to a close many of us reflect on the events of the past twelve months. Before the fireworks start and the countdown begins I want to review 5 of the good and bad moments of 2015.
1. Fallon - July 29th 2015 was the day my beloved dog passed away. I loved her for 13 years and love her still. This perfect little ray of black and white light came into my life at a crucial point and was my support throughout my childhood. It was a defining moment of this year but this is not the post to talk about her. She deserves something dedicated solely to her.
2. My 20th Birthday - you would think with my 21st birthday in less than a month a 20th would be nothing. However I have joked with every passing year that I'm finally becoming an adult due to the presents I've received. Except I don't think it's a joke anymore. I've started feeling more like my own person this year. One that is unrecognisable from her former self.
3. Holiday to Italy - I think that every time you visit a new place it changes you. You take a part of it with you when you leave and also leave a bit of your old self behind. Italy is a beautiful place with a beautiful culture, a beautiful language and beautiful architecture. I'm lucky to have now been able to see two regions of this country.
4. Foxy and Nala - after Fallon passing away the house was too quiet, too empty and too dogless. My mother decided to get two little bundles of joy - Foxy and Nala. They're two border collie sisters with endless energy. Fallon was a border collie so we thought we knew what we were in for but remember no two dogs are the same. These little menaces are equal parts adorable and feisty.
5. Passing another year of university - Every year forward let's me know that I'm slowly getting closer to my dream. Every year is also a year of me growing as a person not just intellectually but also socially.
So there it is. 5 moments in 2015 which changed me.
I hope you all have a wonderful new year.
What moments defined 2015 for you?
Take care,
Sophie
