Inspiring People
"When I grow up I want to be like...." I'm sure we've all been asked at some point to finish that sentence. My answer was always the same. I wanted to be like my mother. It's a common trope in shows and movies where you find a woman saying 'Oh no I'm turning into my mother!' and that is a negative thing. For me it never was. My mum is an independent woman who raised two children, whilst juggling a job and a puppy. My parents separated when I was about 6 and I stopped seeing my Dad when I was 7. I honestly don't believe I would be the person I am today without her love and support. I also wouldn't have had a dog! As I have gotten older I have found more people that inspire me. So here is my list of people who inspire me to improve. My mum - as stated above she supported and helped me in whatever way she could.
