Was Big Magic right all along?

You know that saying about buses? That's how my blog posts are right now. You don't see one for ages and then they all come at once. That's how my brain has been working lately. Sometimes I could just write post after post after post and I stop myself before I burn out. Other times I want to write and the time ticks on and on and nothing happens. Sometimes something else spurs me on such as seeing a blog post from another creator I haven't seen post in a while, or something particularly interesting like a topic discussed over coffee. Often what spurs me on is procrastination. Oh here we go again. She's using the P word again. Yes I am unfortunately! But we aren't going to dwell on it today. Inspiring People

"When I grow up I want to be like...." I'm sure we've all been asked at some point to finish that sentence. My answer was always the same. I wanted to be like my mother. It's a common trope in shows and movies where you find a woman saying 'Oh no I'm turning into my mother!' and that is a negative thing. For me it never was. My mum is an independent woman who raised two children, whilst juggling a job and a puppy. My parents separated when I was about 6 and I stopped seeing my Dad when I was 7.  I honestly don't believe I would be the person I am today without her love and support. I also wouldn't have had a dog! As I have gotten older I have found more people that inspire me. So here is my list of people who inspire me to improve.
